Graphical Engineering


 

Specific descriptors of qualifications that determine learning outcomes for graphical engineering study program in accordance with the Regulation of the national framework for higher education qualifications

 

  1. Knowledge and understanding

  • Recognizes and remembers the well-established principles in the fields of fundamental science and mathematics and physics in the fields of technical and technological sciences such as engineering sciences related graphic techniques and technology.

  • Describes and discusses key aspects and concepts in the field of graphic engineering:principles of preparation of the design principles of the machinery, printing preparation, printing techniques,finalgraphictreatment, specialprocedures of printing, graphic management systems.

  • Follow current research and development as well as the wider multidisciplinary andinterdisciplinary context of graphic engineering.

 

  1. Applying knowledge and understanding

  • Determines and analyzes the processes, methods and results in the field of graphical engineering, manages systems for the preparation, printing and finishing of graphics product features and choice of printing technologies, management graphic machines and processes.

  • Locates, formulates and resolves major problems in the graphic engineering (graphic design, design, preparation for printing, making printing forms, tentative footprint, final printing, finishing graphics processing), using already established methods.

  • Selects and uses appropriate measuring and control equipment, software design and analysis, various hardware-oriented programming environments, suitable for analysis and quality control of graphic product.

 

  1. Making judgments

  • Collects, analyzes and presents information from relevant data available in the field of graphic engineering, mostly from the perspective of: providing conditions for implementation of standards, selection of appropriate standards in accordance with the recommendations, establishing procedures for collecting data, generating corrective actions.

  • Makes appropriate assessment in applying and evaluating knowledge of key importance in the field of graphic engineering, taking into account relevant personal, social, scientific or ethical aspects.

  • Combines theory and practice to resolve problems the graphical technique and technology, and is able to explain the reasons for selecting the appropriate solution.

 

  1. Communication skills

  • Communicates effectively through written reports and oral presentations, using correct terminology and technical language.

  • Shares and discusses concepts and ideas in the field of graphic engineering, the engineering community and with the public society.

  • Is able to work in team and actively cooperate within the group, through sharing of responsibilities and tasks.

 

  1. Learning skills

  • Takes the initiative to identify the needs for further professional advancement with a high degree of autonomy in decision-making.

  • Regularly follows the latest scientific developments in the field of graphical equipment and technology, such as research papers and magazines, and participates in seminars, conferences etc.
